In order to verify your bank account number, you need to do an iDeal transaction. You can read here why this is necessary.
When you use the browser Safari it is possible that after choosing your bank in the screen below you do not get a follow-up screen.
In that case you have to click on the two screens on top of each other in the address bar. An example is shown below. The pop-up will then open automatically.
